The serpents that crown her are not chains — they are her strength, her family, her armor. The gothic crown she wears is the throne of a queen the gods tried to destroy. The pedestal she stands on is a cathedral dedicated to her alone. Those who meet her gaze are not punished — they are freed from illusion.

The Gorgon is not the villain of the story. She is the survivor.
