It doesn't burn. It persists.

The Ghost Candle is not a candle with a ghost — it's a ghost that has become a candle. The wax dripping from its body is not wax: it is its essence slowly consumed, drop by drop, century after century. The skull emerging from the shroud does not scream — it sings. The Gothic pedestal on which it stands is the cathedral that trapped it. The skulls at its feet are the companions who came before it. The flame at the top never goes out — it is the only thing left from when it was alive.

As long as the candle burns, the ghost exists.
