The cracked skin like ancient stone is not a flaw — it is proof of centuries of vigilance. The outspread wings are not for flying — they are for intimidation. The claws clutching the dilapidated Gothic pedestal do not hold it still — they possess it. When night falls, the Gargoyle is no longer stone.
